Study Objectives

We are testing an agriculture and finance intervention to improve the health and well-being of families affected by HIV in Western Kenya.

1. Measure impact of a agricultural intervention among HIV-infected farmers on ART on HIV clinical outcomes.

2. To understand the pathways (food security, household wealth, nutrition, behavior, mental health) through which the intervention may improve HIV health outcomes.

3. To determine the cost-effectiveness of the intervention and obtain the information necessary to inform scale-up in Kenya and similar settings in sub-Saharan Africa.
